Instructions:

Marinate the Chicken:

  1. In a bowl, combine Tupat’s Hawaiian Poke Sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Mix well.
  2. Place the chicken breasts or thighs in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken, making sure it’s well-coated. Reserve the remaining marinade for later.
  3. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.

Cook the Chicken:

  1. Preheat the Skillet: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the used marinade. Season the chicken with a little salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the Chicken: Place the chicken in the hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the chicken.

Make the Sauce:

  1. While the chicken is cooking, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened. Be sure to stir occasionally.

Serve:

  1. Slice the cooked chicken into strips or leave whole, as desired.
  2. Drizzle the thickened sauce over the chicken.
  3. Garnish with chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro leaves if desired.

Accompaniments:

  1. Serve the chicken over steamed rice or quinoa, with a side of sautéed or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
